Great Wolf Lodge

We took a random Monday off in December and headed to the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. They boys absolutely loved the indoor water park and spending the night in the hotel. The water park had so much to do for kids. Colin was surprisingly not scared of the water slides and went on all the ones he was allowed too. Carson did the little slides and enjoyed the lazy river with me! It was a nice family get away and the kids still talk about it. A must-do for anybody that lives in the area with kids.

Chocolate

The tradition of making candies has been in the family for years and as long as I can remember. However, this was the first year we did it at Courtney's house instead of my Grandmother's, but she was still able to come and supervise. The kids had a great time dipping the peanuts and pretzels in the Chocolate and they made a nice mess. I think they had more fun licking the chocolate than actually making any candy.

NYC

Courtney, Susan, Tonya and I took a trip to NYC in early December. Compliments of my mom/Eyre for a Christmas present last year. It was FREEZING... but we had a good time. I was surprised at how crowded it was as we had to stand in line to get into some of the stores. I think the only thing I ended up buying was a hat for myself, a scarf and 2 name signs for the boys.

Thanksgiving Get Together

We had a quick get together with Seri and Noelle at Noelle's parents house. Take notice of the yellow tractor in the photo... This is a tractor Noelle's parents had in their basement from when their boys were little. Colin has not stopped talking about this tractor since that day. 1 month later the tractor is still on Colin's wish list and doesn't understand why Santa couldn't make him the same one with rust and all.

Christmas Tree 2010

Just a "little" behind on my posting for the month of December, so this will be my attempt to catch up. We took our annual trip to the Christmas Tree farm for our quest to find the perfect Christmas Tree. 1 hour later, we found a tree, but ended up getting the wrong kind and the needles on the tree are painful to touch. The boys had a good time. I think carrying around the saw was their favorite part. Our first tree/Christmas in our new house.

Glasses

This is probably the only picture I can get of Colin with his glasses on. He had to get glasses about a month ago because he has a lazy eye. It doesn't look like a lazy eye, but it acts like one where he basically can hardly see out of it. In order to try and correct the problem, we put in eye drops in his strong eye to make it weaker and the other one is supposed to get stronger. He's getting used to wearing them at school, but is still shy about wearing them out. I personally think he looks adorable... just like his daddy in his glasses!

Halloween 2010

Batman, Clemson Football Player, Pirate and the Witch had a great Halloween this year. This was our first Halloween in our new house and there were so many kids. My mom came over to hand out candy and she actually ran out and started asking the bigger kids for some of their candy so she could give it out. Colin stayed in his Batman costume for about week and Carson is such a sports fanatic and he enjoyed being a football player. Instead of sleeping with a teddy bear, Carson has been sleeping with his football for the last 2 months! Oh, and it was one COLD Halloween this year.. Brrr!!

Clemson vs. GT

We had our annual trip to Clemson and the boys had a great time. A long drive, but all-in-all, the kids were good. We stopped off Thursday night which was half-way to Clemson and it had an indoor pool, so the kids thought it was a real treat to go swimming and sleep in the hotel... the little things! We spent Friday shopping and taking the boys to Death Valley. We had dinner with the Beaks and crashed at Uncle Andy's house. The boys had a great time tailgating and Carson was so tired that he slept the first half of the game. We were excited our old neighbors were able to meet us there and we got to hang out with them and meet their new baby, Chloe.

Pumpkin Patch

Colin's school had a field trip to the pumpkin patch (a real pumpkin patch where the pumpkins grow on the vines!) He had about 8 field trips this summer and John and I could never make it because of work, but we both made it to this one and brought Carson along too. They had a great time in the haunted barn, hay maze, pumpkin patch and hay ride. However, they had a lot of free time, so the boys decided to tackle each other for a good hour. Snapshot below, Carson is at the bottom of the pile. Boys will be boys...

Spitz Family Pics

We had a friend come over this past weekend and took a few Spitz family pictures. Below are a preview of some of my favorites. You may just see them on our Christmas card! Colin was surprisingly Mr. Photogenic. I guess if somebody else is taking his picture he does a lot better. Bowman decided to roll in something nasty right before the pictures so he was not in many. I would love to learn how to take good pictures. We have a great camera, but I have no idea how to use it!

Happy 2nd Brithday Carson!

Carson turned 2 on October 6th and so many people think he just turned 3 because of how big he is. He weighs about 36 pounds and is a healthy, active boy. He continues to amaze us every day and has quite the sense of humor. He's very athletic and loves sports. We had a family birthday party with a Thomas Theme as Carson is into trains. John and I made 2 Lasagna's and 2 Baked Ziti's...one with meat and one without, Cesar salad and garlic bread. We usually go the easy route with Pizza, but we surprised everybody this year. Happy Birthday to our sweet little boy Carson!!

Boat Day

Grandma's "friend" took us out on the bay for the day. I thought Carson might be scared of the boat, but he loved it! All the kids and adults enjoyed it! I think we need to invest in a boat as it's so relaxing being out on the open water. I forget how close we are to the water and need to take advantage of it. The kids were super tired by the end of the day and were in bed by 7:30.

Motorcycle Dude!

SAC

Colin has started his second season of soccer and we are hopeful he will participate more. John decided to be the coach of the team and has now completed one practice (rainforest theme) and really enjoyed it. Colin has 3 other buddies from school on the team and it has helped him get on the field to play. Carson would love to be a part of the team and I had trouble keeping him off the field... "My want to play soccer too."
